Plum Cake

Preparation:

 

  1. Pour the milk into a mixing bowl and dissolve the yeast in it.

  2. Add the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and butter, and knead everything to a smooth dough using a food processor with the dough hook. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles.

  3. Wash, drain, halve and pit the plums in the meantime. Pre-heat oven to 200°c using upper and lower heat.

  4. Grease the oven pan (oven accessory). Knead the dough again on a floured surface after it rises. Then roll it out and cover the baking sheet with it.

  5. Spread the prepared plums onto the dough, put the oven pan into the oven and bake the cake for about 25–30 minutes.

For the dough:

500 g flour

1 cube yeast

75 g sugar

1 packet vanilla sugar

75 g butter (melted)

250 ml warm milk

 

For the topping:

3 kg plums
