Category: Main dish
Preparation:
- Put all the ingredients for the gnocchi in a bowl and knead into a dough. Cover the dough and let it rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
- Then form rolls with some flour from the dough. Cut these into small pieces.
- Place a pot with water and a little salt on the hob and bring to the boil on the highest hob setting. Add the gnocchi to the boiling salted water, bring to a boil, let it steep, then drain.
- Peel the onion and chop finely. Peel and crush the garlic. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and dice.
- Put a pan on the hob and heat it up to a medium hob setting. Add the oil, diced onion and garlic and braise until glassy. Add the tomato cubes and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomato puree and water and mix well until a creamy sauce has formed. If the sauce is too thick, stir in some more water.
