Tomato sauce

  1. Put a saucepan on the hob, add olive oil and heat up over a medium hob setting. Add the onions and sweat until glassy. Add the tomato puree and sauté.
  2. Add the vegetable stock and lentils and simmer covered for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Then add the tomato passata and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. Finally generously season with the spices, honey and pesto.

3 Tbsp olive oil

1 onion

2 tbsp tomato puree

125 g red lentils

300 ml vegetable stock

400 ml strained tomatoes


1 tsp acacia honey

Paprika powder

1 tsp pesto
