Apple Compote

  1. Wash, peel and core the apples and cut them into large pieces.

  2. Put a pot on the hob, add the sugar and heat on high, watching carefully. When the sugar has liquefied and turns slightly brown, add water (Caution! May cause a lot of steam.), the apple pieces and cinnamon. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Stir occasionally.

  3. Remove the cinnamon stick and purée the apple mixture with a stick blender until it has the desir ed consistency.

2 tbsp. sugar

50 ml water

1 stick cinnamon
